I am preparing for Elijah’s test

I will try more coffee, and another night’s sleep, plus the enervating effects of daily harassments, bills, invoices, tax demands, warnings, requests, reminders, invocations, imprecations, salutations and valedictions.

Byron put it far better: When one subtracts from life infancy (which is vegetation), sleep, eating and swilling, buttoning and unbuttoning -- how much remains of downright existence? The summer of a dormouse.
