An awesome response to paradigm shift

Neuroskeptic asks whether there is an ordering of hyperbolic statements, and Matthew Hankins notes the popularity of “paradigm shift”.

Is the hyperbolic inversely related to fatuity?

    Ngram defaults to ending in 2000 but can be tweaked to go out to 2008. American teens started using awesome an awesome amount in recent years. Grownups in America now use "amazing" all the time, especially anybody involved in college admissions: "We had some amazing students apply for admission."
